Showcase and Achievement Awards

Sligo LEADER Partnership hosted a showcase and achievement awards on Friday 29th June at 9.30am in the Sligo Park Hotel. The showcase consisted of a range of different community, individuals and private enterprise projects that have been supported from the Irish government and the EU under various programmes administered by Sligo LEADER Partnership.

Minister for Department of Environment, Community and Local Government Phil Hogan was in attendance to present achievement awards to various community individual and private enterprises who have shown real energy, innovation and commitment in developing Co. Sligo.

There were over 30 stands showcasing the very best of what’s available in Co Sligo, including private enterprises that Sligo LEADER Partnership has supported e.g. Voya Seaweed Baths and Made in Sligo a network of 15 talented craft workers from all over the County, who have taken the initiative to collectively market the county, themselves and their wide range of products.

Communities and individuals that have received support through our various programmes were represented including the Friendly call service, Active Age groups and other community groups that have developed the community fabric of Co Sligo.

The showcase was a wonderful celebration of that if good and positive in Sligo.
