Week long celebrations planned for Positive Ageing Week in Sligo

Positive Ageing Week, September 24th to October 2nd, is an annual event run by Age Action Ireland, sponsored by ESB Customer Supply and facilitated by Sligo LEADER Partnership Company, to celebrate ageing.

The purpose of the week is to show that ageing is not something to fear, but something to celebrate. It is an opportunity for older people to enjoy themselves and for communities to recognize the contribution which older people have made, and continue to make in their localities.

Sligo will host a week long series of events, including Information Day, Gala Ball, Afternoon Tea Dance, Stress Free Day, Sports Festival, Happiness Morning and many more activities. For more information contact Sligo LEADER 071-9141138
